Child-Centred Play Therapy
Services at Let's Play SA! Therapeutic Services are implemented by a registered social worker with furthering qualifications in Child-Centred Play Therapy.

Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a specialised therapeutic approach tailored specifically to meet the needs of children. At its core, CCPT recognises and respects the unique developmental stages, emotional experiences, and expressive capacities of children. Through play, the natural language of childhood, we create a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore their inner world, process emotions, and develop coping skills.

CCPT is used to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and social challenges that children may face. From anxiety and depression to trauma and family transitions, CCPT offers a gentle and effective pathway for healing. By engaging in play, children can externalise and process difficult experiences, build self-awareness, and cultivate resilience. Moreover, CCPT can enhance interpersonal skills, improve emotional regulation, and foster a sense of empowerment and agency in children's lives.

Child-Centered Play Therapy is an evidence based modality with roots in Humanistic Psychology, Attachment Theory, and Developmental Psychology.

Child-Centered Play Therapy offers a holistic and child-focused approach to healing and growth. By honoring children's inherent creativity, resilience, and capacity for self-expression, CCPT empowers children to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
